The Roundhouse had two dining areas added to its property in Beacon recently. The Patio and 2EM serve seasonal New American cuisine, craft beers, and artisanal cocktails. Get out and enjoy select, innovative dishes and drinks in a truly unique setting.

The Patio opened last summer and reopened this May, and its expansive outdoor deck overlooks the rushing water. Open through October, you can grab a quick bite, have a cocktail or relax outdoors; its prime location makes it an enjoyable spot to dine al fresco, appreciate the view and listen to the falls. Open Tuesdays through Thursdays from noon until 10pm; Friday-Saturday, noon until 11pm, and Sundays, 10am until 2pm. It's available for private events of up to 75 people.

The cocktail lounge 2EM offers views of Fishkill Creek while guests enjoy relaxing with small plates and cocktails. Featuring pieces from The Roundhouse Art Collection, 2EM is all about allowing guests to unwind; standard guest bedrooms and penthouse suites are soon going to be available. 2EM opens Wednesdays through Saturdays at 5pm, and you can book it for private events of up to 50 people.

The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls Patio and 2EM opening is another boon for busy Beacon. It's designed by the award-winning architecture and design firm Rockwell Group to maximize the stunning waterfall views. Swift provides a gorgeous setting for enjoying an exceptional meal or distinctive cocktail.

With The Roundhouse being one of the few historic buildings left in Beacon, owner Robert A. McAlpine and Rockwell Group felt the need to reach out and bring the space back to life.

"When I originally moved to Beacon five years ago, it was with the intention of retiring," McAlpine said. "But, when I saw the Roundhouse property, I fell in love with it, and we've worked very hard ever since to bring this site back to life. The support we've received from the people of Beacon, from the City Administration to the local artisans, and the public at large, has been extraordinary. It's been rewarding to breathe new life into a site that holds an important place in so many Beaconites' hearts, and we're looking forward to introducing Beacon to a larger audience."
