Hudson Valley Restaurant Week - Part Two - Save the Date, November 5- 18
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, the region's largest and most successful culinary event, will return for an encore November 5-18. Now in its sixth year, Hudson Valley Restaurant week is a testament to the coupling of local agriculture and world-class chefs in the region. The overwhelming popular demand from both chefs and diners has spurred the organization of a second culinary extravaganza."A lot of people have asked for a second Restaurant Week," says Janet Crawshaw, publisher of The Valley Table magazine and founder of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, "and we are excited to offer a fall Restaurant Week. Fall is a very special time to visit the Hudson Valley and a great time to showcase the valley and for restaurants to feature local products. It's a win-win for everyone."
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week offers an extraordinary opportunity for restaurants to showcase their finest creations, attract new patrons and delight regular customers. Seventy restaurants participated in the inaugural Restaurant Week in 2006; more than two hundred participated in the March 2012 event, which attracted an estimated 220,000 patrons to local restaurants. "Most of the participating restaurants reported a twenty to fifty percent increase in business during the event," Crawshaw adds, "Which also generated business for local suppliers, farms, wineries, and purveyors"
