Metro-North is offering a special package deal during the Dutchess County Fair, August 21-26. Enjoy one of New York's largest county fairs, featuring agriculture, antique and animal exhibits, unique crafter galleries, carnival rides, food vendors, and live performances, including Starship, Chubby Checker, Lonestar, the FMX US Freestyle Motocross Championship Series, and Championship Bull Riding.Tickets from Grand Central Station / Harlem-125th Street to Poughkeepsie; adults - $38.25, seniors / persons with disabilities / individuals receiving Medicare - $31, children - $1.50 (5-11), children under 5 - free. Package prices from other stations are available at www.mta.info/mnr/html/getaways.htm . Bus from Poughkeepsie station to Dutchess County Fair available for $5 (round trip); not included in package deal, pay on board the bus. Bus only meets arriving trains at the Poughkeepsie station at 9:34, 10:34 a.m., and 12:34 p.m. Bus departs the fairgrounds at 4:50 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. to connect with the 5:40 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. trains departing Poughkeepsie for Grand Central Station.
