See a new children’s musical by local playwright
The Center's award-winning Saturday Morning Family Series returns on Saturday July 11 with a brand-new musical, “There Once was an Owl,” written by local playwright Ed Gibbons-Brown. Every Saturday from July 11 through Labor Day weekend, youngsters and their families can enjoy a wide range of live performances, ranging from puppet shows to live animal presentations.
“Every Saturday morning at the Center is a different experience, with artists from local performers to national touring companies - it’s always fun and entertaining,” said Babette Fasolino, The Center’s Education Director. “We’re really excited for the summer season, as it showcases a play written by a local writer, and we’re thrilled to support new works,” she added.
Ed Gibbons-Brown wrote 'There Once was an Owl" for Dutchess Community College, where it premiered this year. Ed has expanded the original version to a full-length children’s production.
Tickets for Saturday Morning Family Series shows are sold at the door one hour prior to show time; tickets are $8, $6 children. Tickets can be reserved in advance; reserved seats are $9, $7 children.
