River Pool at Beacon

River Pool at Beacon is located on the north shore of Beacon Riverfront Park. The partially submerged pool is environmentally sensitive and makes for a safe wading area in the Hudson River, protecting bathers of all ages, from boaters and currents. With a permeable floor and sides that work as a below-water fence, the 20' diameter wading pool allows river water to flow through it. The entire structure is supported by floating fiberglass seats in rainbow colors. Only minutes from Beacon’s train station, the ferry dock, Dia: Beacon, Riggio Galleries, and the Beacon Landing peninsula. The water quality at the River Pool site is one of the best in Dutchess County.
