Starting May 3, the National Park Service will run a shuttle every weekend from the Poughkeepsie train station to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Home, Presidential Library and Museum; the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site, Val-kill; and FDR’s retreat, Top Cottage.

Stormville Airport Antique Show & Flea Market Season Opens

Who doesn’t love a bargain? You can find a shopping bag full at the Stormville Flea Market, which began in 1970 with a mere two dozen vendors. Today it’s one of the largest antique shows and flea markets in the Northeast. They attribute their success to the quality merchandise, reliability and trust built between the buyers and vendors.

More than 600 vendors travel from eight states to set up their wares. Shoppers travel far, too, in pursuit of bargains. With a terrific variety of antiques and collectables, plus new merchandise, arts and crafts, there is sure to be something for every taste and budget.

Shop ‘til you drop at seven shows a year, beginning this month at “Springtime in the Country” April 29. Browse with family or friends on these dates: May 26 & 27, July 7 & 8, August 5, September 1 & 2, October 6 & 7 and finish up with “Christmas in November,” 11/ 4.

There’s even a food court with nearly every kind of cuisine. Parking and admission is free. The flea market goes on rain or shine, dawn to dusk, but leave your pet at home.

The Stormville Airport Antique Show & Flea Market is located at a private airport on Rt. 216, right off the scenic Taconic State Parkway. One visit and you’ll agree, “It’s worth the trip from anywhere!” Call (845)221-6561 for information.
