Tivoli Artists Co-op Fourth Annual Landscape Show

Tivoli Artists Co-op announces the Fourth Annual Landscape Show, from June 20 to July 13, 2008. You're invited to meet many of the artists at the opening reception on Saturday, June 21 from 6:30-8pm, with a demonstration of "en Plein Air" painting by artist Richard Lisle from 5-6:30pm. The show features landscapes in all mediums by Tivoli Artist Co-op members. It's a terrific chance to see work inspired by nature from around the region. Full story...

Omega Institute Reopens for Season

New York State's magnificent Hudson River Valley is widely recognized for its scenic landscapes, arts and culture, and historical significance, making it one of the most sought after vacation destinations in the country. Each year, more than 16,000 people visit Omega Institute’s 195-acre Rhinebeck campus for restoration, inspiration, and fun. RARE BIRDS EMERGE AT OLD RHINEBECK AERODROME

Rhinebeck, NY, April 29, 2008: Drivers on Stone Church Road in Rhinebeck last Saturday were treated to sightings of some extremely rare birds. Volunteers and staff have begun the annual migration of antique and reproduction airplanes from their winter resting places to the flight line of  Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.  “This rite of spring occurs each year as the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome Museum prepares to open on May 12,” said Jim Record, President of the Old Rhinebeck Museum. Hyde Park Heritage Greenway Trail Expands

Hike the new, recently added path, of the Hyde Park Heritage Greenway Trail. The new trail easement was donated by The Anderson Center for Autism and opened in early November. This new walkway establishes a trail for public use along the Hudson River, linking the Vanderbilt National Historic Site to Norrie Point State Park. On top of this, the pathway grants 2,400 feet of new trail access through school property. Full story...
