Bard College Description: Liberal arts college founded in 1860, Bard occupies a 600-acre campus overlooking the Hudson River and offers degrees in more than 40 academic programs in four divisions: Arts; Languages and Literature; Science, Mathematics, and Computing; and Social Studies. Bard is also home to the Bard Conservatory of Music, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. Bard's Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, designed by Frank Gehry, presents a variety of opera, music, drama, and dance performances, special events, conferences, lectures, and other public presentations.
