Come and celebrate the season when you board the Dutchess County Farm Fresh Shuttle at the Wassaic Train Station for excursions to McEnroe Organic Farm (www.mcenroeorganicfarm.com), Morehouse Merino Farm (www.morehousefarm.com) and the pastoral village of Millerton, all located in the scenic Hudson Valley. 

Check out the best that Mother Nature provides at McEnroe’s, where you’ll learn first-hand about organic farming and composting.  Make sure you visit the full-service farm market or call ahead to have a special lunch of in-season ingredients waiting for you at the end of the tour.  (Call McEnroe Organic Farm Market at 518-789-4191 at least 24 hours ahead of your visit to reserve lunch, available at an additional cost.) 

During this outing you’ll also visit the farm that helped reintroduce merino sheep and wool to the region.  See the sheep that produce some of the most luxurious wool in the world at Morehouse Farm, and then spend time browsing their nearby shop for hand-made wear and knitting essentials.

This itinerary also includes a stopover in Millerton, home to Harney & Sons Fine Teas (www.harneyteas.com).  Step into the charming tea store and tasting room for an afternoon respite or cross the street for an up-close look at handcrafted art glass by Gilmor Glassworks (www.gilmorglass.com).

The Dutchess County Farm Fresh Shuttle will stay with you all day, transporting you to the various locations and bringing you back to the train station for the return trip home.  Reservations for the Dutchess County Farm Fresh Link Shuttle are required in advance by calling 1-800-445-3131 and selecting "0" for an operator.  Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. 

Once you've made your reservation, purchase your rail and shuttle ticket at Metro-North’s ticket office in Grand Central Terminal or any Metro-North station with a ticket office, at all full-service ticket machines (except Wassaic Station), or online through WebTicket .
